Anita Rajan is the Chief Operating Officer of Tata STRIVE and Vice President, Tata Sustainability Group. Tata STRIVE is a global skills building initiative of the Tata Group with a mission to develop capacity to train youth for employment, entrepreneurship and community enterprise. It is a Global CSR initiative and drives impact through collaborations with Governments, NGO’s and other Corporates
Anita has over twenty years of diverse experience in the education and management sectors. Prior to Tata STRIVE, Anita was Principal Consultant at TCS. She was for 13 years at TCS Corporate Headquarters heading the CEOs office and later the Vice Chairman’s office. In this role she was also deeply involved in the Skill Development activities of TCS as well as with the Central Government skill development initiatives and bodies such as National Skill Development Corporation.
Prior to joining TCS, she was Head of Research and Training with ILFS -Schoolnet India an E- education company in India. Her early management career was with the advertising firm Lintas India where she designed qualitative and quantitative advertising research programs. Her experience in education sector comes from being a Math educator for several years.
Her academic credentials include an MBA in Marketing from Sydenham Institute of Management Studies, Mumbai, she is an alumnus of the prestigious St Stephens College, Delhi University where she earned a BA Maths Honours degree. She also holds a Bachelors in Education from Mumbai University.
